I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and I believe that asking for help and trying to make a change can be one of the most difficult parts of life - so I want to congratulate you on already taking this huge step forward by even being here and looking at our info!

I hope to be a warm, reassuring guide and safe space for you on your mental health journey - whether that looks like coping with depression, anxiety, OCD, difficult family or relationship dynamics, or even big life adjustments. 

 

My previous experience includes working with adults in addiction recovery, people diagnosed with mood and personality disorders, and several serious mental illnesses such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. I draw from several different approaches including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), LBGTQ+ Affirming CBT, and am informed in some trauma-informed methods like Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).

 

As a second generation Chinese American, I have lived experience and understanding of the struggles with one’s cultural identity. I understand Cantonese but no longer speak it fluently, so I understand firsthand how difficult it can feel to try to reconnect with one’s heritage. My goal is to meet my clients where they are - to hold space for you without judgement and to meet you where you are at with your own unique perspective without any bs. All I ask in return is for you to do the same and show up as your authentic self.
