Hello and welcome. I am so glad you’re here.
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel like a monumental task. Whether you are navigating a difficult life transition, managing long-standing anxiety, or simply feeling like you’ve lost touch with the things that once brought you joy, I want you to know that you don't have to walk this path alone. My name is Brittany L. Cutler, and as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) at Talk to Heal Counseling Center, my mission is to provide a safe, respectful, and empowering space where we can work together to help you reclaim your life.
In my practice, I believe that therapy is most effective when it is personalized. There is no "one size fits all" solution to the human experience. That is why I utilize an eclectic approach: blending various therapeutic philosophies to meet you exactly where you are. Central to my work is what I call the Valued Living Plan.
What is a Valued Living Plan?
Most of us spend our lives chasing goals. We want the promotion, the house, the perfect relationship, or the "clean bill of health." While goals are important, they are often destination-oriented: once you reach them, they’re finished. Values, on the other hand, are like a compass. They provide a direction for how you want to live your life every single day, regardless of your circumstances.
When we work together, I help you develop a Valued Living Plan. This isn't just a piece of paper; it’s a living strategy designed to help you align your daily actions with your deepest principles. Together, we identify what truly matters to you: whether that’s connection, courage, creativity, or compassion: and we find practical ways to weave those values into the fabric of your life.
By focusing on valued living, we move away from just "fixing problems" and toward building a life that feels meaningful and vibrant.

An Eclectic Approach Tailored to You
As an eclectic therapist, I don’t believe in sticking to just one rigid school of thought. Instead, I draw from a wide range of evidence-based practices to ensure that our sessions are as effective as possible.
I often incorporate elements of psychoanalytic therapy. This means we might spend time exploring the deeper roots of your thoughts and behaviors. By understanding how your past experiences and subconscious patterns influence your present, we can unlock doors to lasting change. However, I balance this deep work with practical, present-focused tools from modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-based practices.
My goal is to be a flexible partner in your healing. On some days, you might need a safe space to vent and process deep-seated trauma. On other days, you might need concrete strategies to manage a panic attack or a difficult conversation at work. I am here to provide both clinical authority and human warmth, ensuring you have the tools you need for every stage of your journey.
Support Across the Lifespan: From Young Adults to Seniors
One of the most rewarding aspects of my work at Talk to Heal Counseling Center is the opportunity to support individuals across the entire lifespan. Human struggle doesn't discriminate by age, and each phase of life brings its own unique set of challenges and opportunities for growth.
Navigating Young Adulthood and Mid-Life
For my younger clients and those in the middle of their careers, the pressure to "have it all figured out" can be overwhelming. We often work on identity formation, boundary setting, and managing the burnout that comes with modern life. I use a strengths-based approach to help you see the resilience you already possess, empowering you to navigate life’s "growing pains" with confidence.
Specialized Care for Seniors
I have a deep passion for working with seniors: a population that is often underserved in the mental health community. Aging brings a complex mix of transitions, from retirement and "empty nesting" to navigating chronic health issues or the loss of loved ones.
In our sessions, I prioritize dignity and respect. I help my senior clients explore their legacy, process grief, and find new avenues for "valued living" in this chapter of their lives. Whether you are dealing with the psychological impact of physical changes or seeking to find new purpose after a career, I am here to support you with empathy and specialized care.

Creating a Trauma-Informed, Safe Space
I recognize that many people come to therapy having experienced significant "life storms." Because of this, I operate from a trauma-informed perspective. This means I prioritize your sense of safety and autonomy above all else.
In our sessions, you are the expert on your own life. I am here as a guide and a collaborator. We move at your pace, and I am committed to creating a non-judgmental environment where you can express your fullest self without fear of criticism. Whether we are meeting in person or through a virtual session, my priority is making sure you feel seen, heard, and respected.
Why Choose Talk to Heal Counseling Center?
I am proud to be part of the team at Talk to Heal Counseling Center because we share a core philosophy: mental health care should be accessible, welcoming, and deeply human. Our center is designed to be a sanctuary from the stressors of the outside world.
We understand that logistics can often be a barrier to getting help. That is why we strive to make the process as seamless as possible. We offer a variety of booking services and accept various insurance plans to ensure that you can focus on your healing rather than the paperwork.

Your Invitation to Heal
If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for a change, I invite you to reach out. You don't have to have everything figured out before you call. You don't even have to know exactly what is "wrong." All you need is a desire for something different and the willingness to show up for yourself.
Together, we will navigate the complexities of your inner world. We will celebrate your strengths, honor your history, and build a Valued Living Plan that brings you closer to the person you want to be.
Your story is important, and your well-being matters. I would be honored to be a part of your path to healing.
